From: Helen Hey -- great site. Thanks! My Dad used to sing a song about "Dunderbeck's machine." It was quite gruesome -- "those kitten cats and long tail rats no more will they be seen -- they're all ground up to sausage meat in Dunderbeck's machine." Gruesome, but we loved it as kids. Unfortunately, that's the only line I remember, and my friends are getting really tired of hearing me repeat it. Could you please ask your Mom if she knows the rest of the words? Your Mom and my Dad seem to have much the same repertoire. Many thanks.

Heard a Dylan tune on the muzak today! Thanks for posting the tunes. Lot of street tunes on this list! BTW- All Simon and Garfunkel tunes are post Garfunkel tunes in my opinion. I think Paul said it all when he said "Garfunkel is a pain in the a#@!

I'm looking for the chords, lyrics, and tuning for Steve Goodman's fantastic blues version of the old gospel standard "I'll Fly Away." Steve did it in slide guitar style and an open tuning of some sort. What ever it was, it was great guitar. Typical Steve Goodman!! Thanks, Mike

Dear Aaron, Thank you so much. So many songs I remember from my youth, how nice of you to provide this. You wouldnt' remember this song "Reach out in the darkness" but it's been on my mind alot lately. "I knew a man that I did not care for, and then one day, that man gave me a call. We sat and talked about things on our mind, and now that man he is a friend of mine." I never would have thought the 70's were innocent at the time, but looking back I realize how we really were. Good luck young man.

Great website - thanks for sharing! I have a few suggested changes for Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter. On the refrain that starts, "But its sad,she doesn't love me now" it seems to me that the chords Am, C, Am, G work better than F, C, F, G. Similarly on the next line, I would replace the F with an Am.

I LOVE THIS SITE - and you are brilliant as well. Just discovered one little flaw. I transposed a Times they are a Changin' up 2 which is 4 1/2 steps into the key of A Sharp- I do not prefer sharps so it changed to B flat - however, when I tried to print it, it reverted to the A sharp version not the B flat. Can you correct that one tiny flaw?? Hope so cause this site is terrific otherwise!

I printed several of the songs you have, and noticed that the words you have to "Frankie and Johnnie" are different from what I had heard. I have a Jimmie Rodgers (the writer of the song) recording of it from 1929, and some of the words (whole verses) are different. Wondered where you got the lyrics posted on your site? From: gail lutz Gee, really takes me back - and I mean BACK... to the '60s does your selection of songs. I put my guitar away when I "grew up" and am now dusting it off in preparation for retirement! (but it has to compete with the dulcimer I receives for Christmas) Anyway, you have been a God-send with selections and chords (reasonably simple -ouch!my fingers hurt!), and this will be a huge time saver. I am looking for an obscure Joan Baez ballad about "...Today there were four Marys; tonight there'll be but three; there was Mary Beaton, Mary Seaton, Mary Carmichael and me..." can you help?
